China International Electronic Commerce Center (hereinafter referred to as “CIECC”), established in 1996, shoulders the mission to construct, operate and maintain the backbone website of the country’s key informatization construction project (Golden Gate Project), operates the authoritative, stable and secured third-party service platform of Chinese international e-commerce, undertakes the mission of training on Chinese e-commerce and keeps developing the international cooperation and foreign exchanges of Chinese e-commerce.

CIECC follows the international technological trend and actively transforms the advanced scientific and technological achievements into productivity. China International E-commerce Network Platform (EC Platform), the third-party service platform of Chinese international e-commerce operated by CIECC keeps the world first-class technological level and has owned state-level network infrastructure with 100 city nodes. EC Platform provides secured and stable e-commerce operation environment and all-round and multi-layered service system to Chinese governmental departments at all levels and enterprises at home and abroad. Besides, it has owned nearly 800,000 member enterprises and become an acknowledged first-class network operation platform in the e-commerce field.

With many years of construction and development, CIECC engages in infrastructure construction of e-commerce development, security CA, credit service, modern logistic, international cooperation, training, etc. with service scope covering major enterprises in Chinese commerce and trade.

CECF (China Export Commodities Fair) Online operated by CIECC is a pioneer in the third-party service of e-commerce, which breaks the limits of time and space and offers enterprises that can’t take part in CECF on the spot a chance to participate in it online. After seven-year’s development, CECF Online has enjoyed high reputation in both domestic and foreign enterprises, owned 600,000 members enterprises and golden medal members and been honored as No-dropped Curtain Trade Fair.

Based on the extending large-scale, unified and share database platform, National Enterprise Credit Information Database and Processing Trade/Foreign Trade Enterprises Database constructed by CIECC have included 400,000 enterprises, and Global Purchasers Database has included 600,000 overseas enterprises. Moreover, CIECC and industrial associations have jointly constructed China Automobile Parts Enterprises Credit System and China Medicare Information Website, which initiated the construction of China’s industry credit system.

CIECC undertakes the E-Commerce Security CA System project of the key science-technology projects of the 9th National Five-Year Plan, which is the first security CA system in China with created and self-owned copyright. As the first security CA system in China Mainland, it has acquired the approval the Pan-Asian E-commerce Alliance (PAA) and can offer potent security guarantee and support in transnational electronic trade for Chinese and foreign enterprises.

In order to provide high-quality technological service, CIECC has set up CIECC customer service center composed of technological experts and technological service team in 100 cities across the country to offer business consultation and technological support to enterprise users and governmental departments.

CIECC joins in international cooperation and exchanges with initiative and establishes mechanism of dialogue and discussion with other countries and international e-commerce organizations to keep close cooperation and execute promotion of international e-commerce. CIECC proposed to establish APEC E-Commerce Business Alliance (APEC ECBA) and acts as Chairman, takes part in the construction of PAA and actively involves itself in inter-governmental commerce and trade information cooperation, therefore, approved by United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD), UN Trade Network China Development Center is set up in CIECC.

To create a favorable environment for the development of Chinese e-commerce, CIECC has cooperated with famous enterprises and agencies at home and abroad, such as Dell, B-Global, Dalian Portnet Co., Ltd., Everbright Bank, etc. to launch a series of practical exploration for constructing an integrated electronic trade service system with trade basic service, logistic service, financial service, professional service and public service as core so as to advance the construction of China informatization construction.
